Polly #317's Story...
Come and meet little Polly, a 3 to 5 year old, black and tan, short coat minpin and chihuahua cross. Polly is spayed, has all her shots and a dental and ready to have her very own home. Polly came to Chihuahua Rescue and Referral through a shelter in Sacramento, CA. We don't know much about her, but if I had to guess, she was confined and perhaps not aloud to associate with people much. She has been with me about a week and is just now moving between rooms and asking with a muffled 'woof' for attention. She is deciding that setting in her humans lap is not so bad and that she can relax back into my chest. This little girl has so much love to give, she just needs a chance from someone who really wants to be part of a rescue. Polly tries hard to go outside to potty but still slips once in awhile. Polly's adoption fee is $250.00. Adoption Application and Home Visit are required. For more information contact Carolyn at
We do not do same day adoptions unless you are preapproved. Adoption application with references checked & a home visit are required. We do many special events during the year, so check our calendar on our website:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly #317, a Seattle Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
