Kratos's Story...
My history is quite complicated. I moved to the DC metro area from South Carolina with my owner. The house we moved into had two big dogs that did not like me and really frightened me. I was then moved to my owner’s girlfriend’s house. That living arrangement ended up not working for her and I was moved to a friend’s house. When that didn’t work out I ended up in a kennel in Rockville.I am a handsome brown tabby that needs some TLC. As you can tell I have had a rough few months and need a new home where I will be loved a lot. Due to all the stress I have been through I have licked most of the fur off my sides. I hope with my life settling down a little my nervous habit will subside and my fur will grow back. I am a sweet boy that loves to cuddle and be loved on. I am fairly laid back and love to explore. I am really hoping my forever home comes along soon! Please stop in and see me today. I was born in 2008.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kratos, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
