Bruce's Story...
Bruce came from LPAS. He was scooped up hours before he was to be euthanized! Bruce is, we believe, a Dogo Argentino mix and he is deaf. Do not let this discourage you from adopting! He is awesome!! When he came to us, he was already semi sign trained. He will be going to obedience classes every Thursday so we can master his training. He is up to date on shots, will be fixed next week, HW negative with pro-heart shot and will be microchipped soon. If you are interested in adopting Bruce, please email thepitstoprescue@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruce, a Baton Rouge Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Dogo Argentino/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
