PEETA's Story...
PEETA is a sweet little 2 yr old poodle mix. He weighs about 10 lbs. He was a casualty of a hoarder and kept in a wire cage all his life, so before being rescued he hadn't spent much time with people. It's a whole new world for "Pete" now. Everything is new so he will need a lot of love and attention to help him learn to trust.

His foster mom thinks he's "Mr. P"...personality, that is. PEETA loves to have his back and belly rubbed. He loves to play with toys and chase his foster brother around the yard. He likes to jump from couch to couch, and loves to eat (there's a shock!). But mostly, he just loves affection and attention.

PEETA was heartworm positive when he was rescued, and has completed his final treatments. He is very healthy now and ready for a new home to love him forever.

PEETA is being fostered in BREVARD county. To learn more about adopting him, go to http://www.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?DogID=1595

Can't adopt right now? Consider becoming a foster home for a rescue dog; it's temporary, but very fulfilling and your only cost is their food! Fill out a volunteer application from our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM FULL/PART-TIME RESIDENTS OF FLORIDA AS A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN FLORIDA, PLEASE LOOK FOR RESCUE GROUPS IN YOUR HOME STATE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PEETA, a Melbourne Toy Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Toy Poodle for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Toy Poodle dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Toy Poodle breeders who help with Toy Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
