Jaxon's Story...
Hello World,
My name is Jaxon and I am a sweet and handsome bichon of three, thirteen and a half pounds of love and a very lucky boy. I’m lucky because I’m a furkid!

I have a foster Mom and Dad who take me to the park to play with other dogs, a doggy foster sister who thinks I’m really neat and two doggy foster brothers that like me too. My foster Mom who likes to cuddle – and boy! So do I! (She says I’m the one who likes to cuddle but I tell her it takes two!)

The best news is I don’t have to be alone (Didn’t I tell you I’m lucky!). I get to play with other dogs, run like the wind, chase and walk on a leash. I’m housebroken, not a marker, and could probably walk for miles. I’m also learning to appreciate rides in the car.

Dad says I know basic commands (like Sit, Come and Lay Down), want to please and that I am SWEET in capital letters. He says I am active and have lots of energy. Dad says I have big bright eyes that shine and smile – and I’m getting happier every day.

I enjoy being with my doggy foster sister and brothers -- and I enjoy the company of people and other dogs. My Forever Home should have another dog or furkid to play with. That would be really nice, too!

So if you are looking for a little love of a guy who is sweet, friendly, lovable, handsome (hey, that’s what Mom said about me ‘cause I don’t brag!) please complete our application as I am waiting to meet you.

Tail wags and doggy kisses,
Joyful and Jaunty Jaxon

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaxon, a La Costa Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
