Teemo's Story...
Teemo. Born approximately November 2012
No adoption fee to approved home

Teemo is quite an endearing little fellow. He was found abandoned in a
foreclosed home about a week after the people left. He came in with Ming
and another Bengal found on the property. He is still a youngster, and
is playful and friendly. He likes to follow you around like a dog. As a
matter of fact we are having to teach him to walk beside us, NOT in
front of us or between our feet. Teemo has incredibly beautiful seafoam
green eyes. We've not seen this intensity of eyes in domestic cats so we
suspect he has a pedigreed heritage mixed in there somewhere, possibly
Bengal or Siamese judging from the other cats in the area. He has a
sleek, easy care coat and lovely markings. Teemo is used to dogs and
other cats. He will adapt well to an indoor only lifestyle and might
also enjoy the type of home where he can have supervised time in the
garden or drink coffee on the patio. Because people come to us for
purebred cats and not domestic cats, we realize he may have a harder
time finding a home through our group. To help him find his home the
fastest we will waive his adoption fee for a qualified adopter. He would
love to go home as a "domestic partner" with Ming or his special BFF
Bengal buddy who came from the same household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teemo, a Davis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
