Betsy's Story...
Betsy, a lovely brindle female with cropped ears, will celebrate her 12th birthday on October 1, but she will not be spending it with the family she lived with her previous 11 years. Betsy's parents recently died and she was taken in temporarily by a family member that could not to keep her. Betsy is now being fostered by Jaki, Cle, and Kessie while looking for her new home. She gets along well with other dogs, is housebroken, used to using a doggy door, and very well-mannered in the house. She spends most of her time chillaxing on her favorite pillow. Occasionally she enjoys playing with a rope toy or exploring the backyard, but it is obvious that Betsy is quite the homebody. This girl loves car rides and would enjoy seeing the sites with her new special person. Betsy is being fostered in Jacksonville.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betsy, a Tallahassee Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
