Frodo's Story...
Frodo is an adorable, loveable Pomeranian/Min Pin mix. He is approximately 5 years old and weighs 16 pounds. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines and he is micro-chipped. Frodo is quiet, not destructive, and can be trusted to be left alone uncrated for short periods of time. He likes to play with stuffed toys and likes to chase ball. He gets along well with almost all smaller dogs, however, he is intimidated by most larger dogs and he is not a great fan of cats. Frodo prefers a quieter home with adults, however quiet, older kids are fine too. He would love to have a securely fenced yard where he can run and play, and needs someone who will reinforce his house-training skills. Frodo is very bright and quick to learn. A home visit and excellent vet reference will be required. His adoption fee is $200. Contact Anita at to apply, or for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frodo, a Richmond Pomeranian/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pomeranian/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Pomeranian/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
