Special Monty's Info...
| Breed: | Beagle | Color: | Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White) | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less | Sex: | Male |
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Purebred Beagle
3 years old, male-neutered, 24 lbs.
Crate trained and housebroken!
Excellent with dogs – in fact he MUST go to a home with at least one dog to help him feel safe and secure
Not tested with cats
Fearful of quick movements and loud noises so he cannot go into a home with small children
Fenced in yard is required (not invisible fencing)
Monty is a very special case … we pulled him from a high kill shelter the day he was going to go to the gas chamber – no other rescue would take him because he was so extremely terrified
Monty lived his entire life in a cage with no human contact – except for the horrific abuse he had to endure. Monty acted very much like a completely feral animal and so terrified of people when we first got him – would do anything to avoid even eye contact … it was the saddest and most heart breaking thing to witness
He has been our most fearful case so far and it’s taken a long time to earn his trust and to have him slowly come out of his shell but he’s come a very long way and though he still has a little ways to go, we know he will make a wonderful, loyal furever companion!
Monty ‘s wish is for someone who is home a lot or works from home so he can bond easier and quicker to them
He also needs a very patient, understanding, and supportive owner who is willing to take things slow to keep him moving forward in his progress
Monty is a sweet soul who deserves a wonderful loving home where he can live life as a beloved pet should … with nothing but love and furever kindness and compassion

If you are interested in adopting, please take the first step and complete an Adoption Application located at http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/Adopt.html
If you have any trouble opening the application simply download the latest version of Adobe Reader for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader/
The submission of a completed Application is not a guarantee to adopting the pet and that all applications are processed thoroughly and if approved a home visit/”meet and greet” will be scheduled. If home check is approved and "meet and greet" with all pets involved goes well the Adoption Committee will decide final approval based on all applications received as to which one is the very best fit for the individual dog. Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are “furever” happy!
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

Rescue Group Info...
Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to educating the public and saving abused and neglected animals from an uncertain fate. Our organization rescues animals from high kill shelters, abuse or neglect cases, owner surrenders, and the breeding parents in Ohio puppy mills that would otherwise be inhumanely disposed of. We improved their lives by providing quality care and placement into permanent loving homes. We will continue to educate, rescue, rehabilitate and encourage the adoption of pets from shelters and rescue groups.
Gina Lutes-Finley
Founder & Executive Director
Dogs Unlimited Rescue
Our rescue animals are fostered in approved homes. these homes and fosters are carefully chosen and qualified on a case by case basis. We conduct adoption events at Pet People in Woodmere and Hudson, OH as well as combine fundraisers with adoption events to promote Rescue efforts and recruit volunteers and donors.
Our adoption fees range from $50 to $300. Dogs Unlimited Rescue requires an adoption application to be filled out by the potential adopter, which requires 2 personal references and a vet reference. After the potential adopter is approved to adopt, the adopter is required to fill out an adoption agreement at the time of the adoption which clearly states all requirements and agreements between the adopter and DogsUnlimited Rescue.
(Please be advised we do not ship our dogs; we do not adopt our unaltered pups out-of-state; and we do not have a physical shelter - all our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes)
We serve the following counties: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Summit, Stark, Loraine, Portage and Medina.
