About Our Shelter...
We are a no-kill, cage free sanctuary started in 2005 by a retired New York State Supreme Court judge and presently care for over 200 cats. We have special separate facilities for FIV and FeLV cats. Also, as we strongly believe in spay/neuter, we operate a weekly low cost spay/neuter clinic for cats for residents of our community which is one of the poorest in New York State.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our cats can be seen by appointment only.
Our Adoption Process...
Please see our website for adoption information and application. We do not charge an adoption fee. However, we do appreciate donations. We will transport our cats and kittens to New York City for adoptions.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are a specialized cat sanctuary in the Western Catskills and serve our local community in Delaware County and surrounding areas with our weekly low cost spay/neuter clinic for cats. We serve mostly the New York City area for our adoptions of the many kittens we take in and care for each year.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Man, a Franklin Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
