Rudy's Story...
Rudy is a snuggle-bug, loves his lap time the most. He is more of an old soul for his 2? years young age. One of the cutest things he does is stick his little tongue between teeth when you are petting or holding him. He does not mind in the least to be on his back, fondle his little toes, or touch his mouth or anywhere. He will sleep right up in bed with you. He is a very flexible doxie, and relaxes like a little rag doll when you carry. Rudy is not fully potty-trained and does not really like outside. His foster family is working on "Outside!" when they can catch him in the act. For his little size he can be really possessive at times when other dogs walk up while he is getting attention.

Oolong Dachshund Rescue is pleased to help Rudy and other doxies like him. All of our doxies are spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative. If you are serious about applying, please complete an application today by following the link below. Thank you for your interest.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Madison Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Madison, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
