Otis's Story...
Otis is a tail-wagging little boy who'll fit right into your lap and lifestyle!

He is a doll. This little mix is big enough to run and play with you and small enough to try to jump in your arms to welcome you home. Otis will be on the smaller side when full grown. He is a cute and energetic puppy who loves to cuddle and play!

Born in just June 2012, Otis is still learning basic obedience, including housetraining.

Otis will be at the Piscataway, NJ Petco for a meet and greet on Saturday, August 25th. If you're in love, please fill out an adoption application found at www.happypawsrescue.org under the 'Adopt' tab and email it to happypawsrescue@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otis, a South Plainfield Rat Terrier/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Dachshund for sale in South Plainfield, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in South Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
