Meow! My name is Mr. Hyde
Mr. Hyde's Info...
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Black & White Or Tuxedo||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Mr. Hyde’s life did not start out pleasantly! He was born outside and once he was old enough to run around, a not so nice person decided to shoot at him with a BB gun!! Imagine how scared he was! Thank goodness a volunteer found out what was going on and rescued him and Good Mews fortunately had space to take him in. When he first got here, he wanted nothing to do with us..and I sure don’t blame him! I am sure he had nightmares every time they closed his little eyes.
But with some time and patience, he realized not all people were his enemy..that he can be loved..and we sure love him!
Mr. Hyde is still a bit shy but once in a quiet home I know he will flourish. He just needs someone to show him he is worthy of being loved.
Right now a quiet home would be best for him.
Update-Mr Hyde was adopted, but sadly was returned 3 years later. Mr Hyde always remained a little skittish, but was still out and about, playing. His adopter was able to pet him, but if he ever needed medication, he got very upset and would run away. When the adopter moved from her home, she left Mr. Hyde behind. She went to the house to feed him, but he remained alone and became very depressed. She contacted us, asking if she could return him. We went straight over to the house to pick him up.
Mr Hyde is still a little nervous about everything that has been going on, but he does seem happy. He purrs when you pet him and will roll over for belly rubs. I spent some time with him yesterday, rubbing his sweet belly. When I moved my hand to get up, he grabbed it so I kept rubbing him and he kept purring.
Mr Hyde really is a sweet boy that just wants to be loved. If you are interested in adopting a shy cat that will still be very loving, please consider Mr Hyde
