Esther's Story...
Esther found herself on the streets about to have kittens. A kind lady took her in to have her babies in safety, but then the lady ended up without a home herself, and that threw Esther's life into crisis. Accepted into rescue, Esther successfully raised her kittens (see Tom Kitten) and is now ready to move on and find a forever home of her own. Never forgetting what is was like to be hungry, Esther asks her new family to undertand that she likes to forage from time to time, just to make sure she really does have food for her next meal. Other than that one residual memory, Esther has put sadness behind her and is both fun-loving and people-loving. She is very laid back and gets along well with everyone. Esther is being spayed and has been given her shots and been microchipped. She is ready to receive potential adopters. Call Blue's Mews Siamese Cat Rescue at 937-271-1411 or email cat_rescue@earthlink.net. PS We make it easy to adopt in pairs for twice the fun!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small, grass-roots volunteer effort dedicated to easing the problems faced by unwanted Siamese cats and kittens and their non-Siamese cousins. We use foster homes for our animals to provide them with a warm and loving environment from which to be adopted; we give all of our animals excellent vet care to ensure they have a good start in life. We offer education and advice on cat care and cat behavior issues; we provide courtesy listings for adoptable pets for free on our web site. We provide support to indigent owners (emergency food and vet care assistance) as we are able and offer advice and assistance on resolving landlord pet issues (including ADA therapy pet designation). We are dedicated to making life easier for the animals who love and trust us and look to us for their safety, security, and happiness. The problems are large and we are small but we try hard to make a difference for cats at risk.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We show our kittens at Pet Supplies Plus in Centerville and in Kettering on alternate Saturdays from 1 to 6 pm. We also visit Moochie and Co. at the Greene on the first Sunday of the month. We also show our animals in their home environments, by appointment, evenings and weekends.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption requirements include an application that tells us something about the adoptive family and authorizes us to contact the family's vet for references, a phone or in-person interview, and at the director's discretion, home visitation. We provide an adoption contract that lists the animal's current and anticipated health care and delineates the owner's and our responsibilities. All cats and kittens have a 3-week health guarantee, in which we assume responsibility for vet care for any unrecognized or incubating health issues, and a 2-week satisfaction guarantee which provides a full refund for animals returned within the 2-week timeframe. Our adoption fees are $75 per Siamese mix or Siamese Wannabe and $100 per Siamese. Cats and kittens adopted in pairs are substantially discounted.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Blue's Mews Siamese Cat Rescue is a small, volunteer-run, non-profit organization assisting Siamese cats, Siamese mixes, and Siamese wannabes (doesn't every cat want to be Siamese?).

We serve the greater Dayton/Fairborn/Beavercreek area (including, but not limited to, Montgomery, Greene, Clark counties)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Esther, a Fairborn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairborn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fairborn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairborn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairborn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairborn paves the way for another one to be saved.
