Aphrodite's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Aphrodite's Story...
Aphrodite is a beautiful, sweet and very endearing 5-year-old Shiba Inu/Chow mix dog who came into the city pound after her owner went into a hospital. Although being "held" for more than a week, the former owner never returned to claim his/her dog. Aphrodite now needs to find a new home.
Aphrodite is easy-going, affable, housebroken, easy to walk and good around other pets. She is larger than a Shiba-Inu, but smaller than a Chow. She is about 35 lbs. We are seeking a loving, committed home for Aphrodite. Preferably one with previous and responsible dog-ownership experience and a checkable vet referance. Could that be you? If so, then a very lovely dog await you! Please call us at (212) 427-8273 if interested in sweet Aphrodite. She is a very special and beautiful dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aphrodite, a New York Shiba Inu/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Chow Chow for sale in New York, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Chow Chow breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
