Louie's Story...
Louie and his sibling were rescued by a trio of border collies while the dogs were out on their morning run. He and his sister had been dumped near the park to fend for themselves at just 3 weeks of age. Louie was the runt of the litter, but has quickly caught up and surpassed his sister. He is the bravest and most adventurous, being the first one to explore and get into trouble. Louie is a bit of an independent spirit but more often than not he finds himself belly up in his foster's arms - sometimes nibbling on fingers, but always taking the time to give out a few kitty kisses in a break from his adventures. Louie has been around large dogs, small children, an adult male cat and proven that nothing scares him!

Louie's adoption fee of $75 includes neuter, vaccines, deworming and testing for FeLV/FIV. He can be adopted along with his sister, Eta, for our special "Bonded Pair" price of $120.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Schertz Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Schertz, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Schertz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schertz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schertz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schertz paves the way for another one to be saved.
