Est. DOB: March 28, 2012
Description: DSH Gray with White Pendant
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Mercury is a fantastic kitten. He’s full of love and playfulness. He loves to play and play but any time you want to pick him up for some loving, he’s game. Mercury has an awesome purr motor.

Mercury loves cat trees, looking out the window, jumping the baby gate to escape the kitten room, feather and other interactive toys and wrestling with other cats and kittens. Mercury is quite the detective and wants to investigate everything. But watch out, he is a bit of a door darter.

Mercury was taken in as being found as a stray – he was hungry and covered in fleas when he came to us.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mercury, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
