Athena's Story...
Athena is a 2 1/2 yr old who came to us when her owner moved. She is a very petite girl who really likes people and the attention they give. She will follow me around talking up a storm to be picked up and snuggled. She is ok with the other cats at the Cattery but she really would rather not share her person/people with others. Athena likes to sit in the window and watch what's going on outdoors. She enjoys the sun spotson our enclosed outdoor porches and will follow the sun from spot to spot. She is a talkative girl. Athena will sit on your lap or in your arms as long as you let her. .As with all cats adopted through PAWS, Athena has been spayed, vetted, vaccinated-including rabies, and microchipped

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Bainbridge Island Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Bainbridge Island, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Bainbridge Island.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bainbridge Island already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bainbridge Island breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bainbridge Island paves the way for another one to be saved.
