Carmine's Story...
Carmine is one of the 8 cats we got from an elderly woman needing to rehome 12 due to her going into assisted living. Carmine is a shy guy who has come around in his weeks at the Cattery. He is now out and about and doesn't run and hide when we walk in the room. He has even started to let uspet him. He does well with the other cats. We have no history on him with dogs or children. Carmine likes to sunbathe and watch the birds and squirrels at the feeders. He's been an indoor only cat. He is a handsome boy. As with all cats adopted through PAWS, Carmine has been vetted, vaccinated-including rabies, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carmine, a Bainbridge Island Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bainbridge Island, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bainbridge Island.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bainbridge Island already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bainbridge Island breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bainbridge Island paves the way for another one to be saved.
