Sonny's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sonny's Story...
Tiny Sonny (8.5 lbs) was one of many dogs and cats removed from a home when an elderly lady had to be placed in a nursing home. This little fellow is still trying to figure out why he's not in his "own" house, but is adjust to life in his new foster home. It takes him a little while to warm up to strangers and to trust them, but he's starting to get very comfy now with his foster mom. He has no aggression at all - just prefers to sit back and watch until he feels secure.

Sonny is great with cats, and loves playing with Cinnamon and Smokey - two other little Chihuahua's who were rescued from the same home. His foster mom says he will "play, play, play!!!" with them, and that when he's happy, he loves to "talk" and let you know!

This little fellow is housebroken. Because he's a little shy, he would probably do best in a home with no small children. His idea situation would be in a patient and calm home.

Sonny's $115 adoption fee includes neuter, vaccines, deworming, microchip, testing for heartworm and starting on heartworm prevention.

About Homes for Pets

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of animal lovers who volunteer our time and talents to help homeless needy pets find new homes. Many of our pets come from life or death situations, or abusive situations. Some pets come from city shelters. We also list animals that are still with their owner, but for one reason or another the owner can no longer keep them. Our dogs and cats live in foster homes, not in a shelter. You don't have to wonder if a dog or cat is good with kids, or other dogs or cats. You will usually know if they are. We work on housebreaking and basic manners as well.

ALL of our animals, even those we list for owners trying to re-home their pets, must be spayed/neutered to help control the serious animal overpopulation in this area.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption events are held at the following locations/times:

We hold adoption events at the Forum PetSmart (exits 172-173 off IH-35 in San Antonio) each weekend from noon - 4:00 p.m. We also hold occasional other adoption events. Check the calendar on our website for additional or updated information! (www.homesforpets.org)
