My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cat-Tale of : Maggie [along with her sister Margie and her brothers Marky and Matty] were found in the heat of June w/ no food, water or mom cat. They are believed to be born about May 20, 2007. Maggie is very playful and her curiosity makes her the 'explorerer' of the group. All of the kittens are bundles of joy, full of energy and cute as can be. We do not adopt them out until they are spay/neutered, vaccinated and at least two pounds in weight and two months of age. We do pre-adoptions and would like to adopt them out in pairs, as they are very bonded to one another.

At Cat-Tales Rescue we offer the option of Microchipping your cat, if not already done so [we've just started to do this this summer and have it done when they are spaye/neutered. We always take the cat back. It may be one year, three years or ten years down the road... we want the cat to have a home. Whether it be due to moving, allergies or something else. We're in it for the cats. We offer a discount if adopting a pair of kittens/cats...it is $10 off each adoption fee. All of our animals are tested for FIV/FeLV [if they are kittens the mom is tested and we strongly suggest the new owners have them tested when they are 6 months of age, as a guideline for the cats health]. All are spay/neutered, vaccinated [if adopted before the age at which their rabies vaccine can be given (3-4 months of age) it is the owners responsibility to get them their vaccine]. We also treat them for earmites, roundworms/hookworms and if necessary protozoa and giardia. We give you all the baby photos we have. We also give you their favorite toys and some catnip. We have lots of information available in handouts if there is a subject that you have questions about [we use very well known internet sites on cat care]. We are always available should any questions arise. We offer cedar scratching posts that all of our cats use, we also have nail clippers that are at our cost. Trimming a kittens nails when they are falling asleep is the best time. It is just a matter of getting them into the habit a couple times/month of having it done.
