Buttons is a senior Poodle who we think is around 10 years old, maybe younger. Buttons is 6lbs and adorable and a sweet gentleman who just wants a lap to sit in and a bed to sleep next to you. Buttons story is sad with a happy ending. He was brought up from the south by another rescue group who adopted him to a home with a baby and it was just not a match, we were called and went and took over his care and we stablized him and settled him back into a routine he obviously had before. We are positive that Buttons was with an elderly person who had a routine and time for him to sit in their lap before he was found as a stray on the streets. We let him teach us what he wanted as far as a routine was concerned and he is now in his element and ready for his new home. We relalized that Buttons was hard of hearing, although he is not deaf so Sue trained him on hand signals, which he picked up immediately. Buttons is a perfect gentleman, he does not have even a mean bone in his body, he is totally potty trained and even gives you space to move around in bed. He loves to be right with his human, you go, he wants to go too, but if he can't go, he justs sits and waits for you to come home. There are some very special Poodles that come through our doors that stamp their paw print on our hearts and Buttons is one of those. Just a wonderful, gentle and kind, human loving Poodle. Buttons is looking for a senior retired person who he can spend his days with keeping each other company.

I like to go for short gentle walks
Poodles need to go to a professional groomer every 6-8 weeks at a cost of about $50, so please factor that into the costs associated with dog ownership.
