Lola's Story...
Dear Forever Family,

After I become yours I will be devoted to you. I like to stay close by, but I am not needy. Everything you say will be important to me and I will respond right away. I know what "no" means, but I rarely need to hear it since I try so hard to make my people happy. I get along with everyone - other dogs, cats, and kids. When you leave the house I will be a lady and wait for you to come back to me. I am not crated in my foster home because I am trustworthy here. It's nice to be told how good I am and I hear that a lot here.

In exchange for devoting the rest of my life to you I would like kind words and loving hands on me every day. This is my greatest joy. When we go for walks I will be very good and listen if you talk to me and pat me once in a while along the way. The last thing I need from you is for you to look lovingly into my amber eyes so I can gaze into yours as I wag my tail.

I am waiting for you,

She is friendly and happy, joyful and good with all other dogs and my cat. Loves people of all sizes. She is crate trained and has not had an accident, knock on wood.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
