Hank's Story...
I guess I just have not found my niche yet. I am a sporting type of breed and sometimes a regular lifestyle is a little too boring for my sort. I have spent time in a foster home so I am house broken and I love other dogs. I will need an active lifestyle and someone who is familiar with sporting breeds will be one step ahead of the game. I love water and I love to play. I will need some more work building my confidence and learning to trust so a home without young children is a must. When its time to settle I am a charming, gentle boy. I am just a boy though so some puppy stuff is to be expected. What’s not to love about a puppy? ***Hank is in a local foster home, if you are interested in meeting Hank please contact his foster mom Amanda at 724-464-7101 or email her at mandbil@aol.com *** 1 year old-45lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, neuter,
microchip,
free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area) 1 month pet health
insurance, 5 week training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet,
food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hank, a Portland Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
