Marbles's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting these kitties, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Marbles is a spunky calico who is always amusing people with her quirky mannerisms. From hopping around on her two back feet to twisting her head around and upside down when she is curious, she is always fun to watch. Super gentle with *really* soft fur, Marbles absolutely loves to cuddle. She will play with anything and anyone, and could do well with other cats and calm kids as long as she still gets one-on-one cuddle time with her person. She occasionally gets startled and would prefer a calm home with lots of opportunity for cuddling on people's laps. She is quite smart about how to get your attention, and before you know it she will be on your lap, or legs, or arms and will feel like part of your own body. Marbles is most interested in love, and needs a co-snuggler to make her life complete. Marbles likes to cuddle and play with her sister Amelia and they can often be found playing or sleeping with and washing each other. These kitties must be adopted together as they are quite attached.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marbles, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
