Amelia's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting this kitty, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Amelia is a tortoiseshell with little white feet. She takes life very seriously, whether she is playing or cuddling. A bit shy, she startles easily, but once you pick her up and hold her in your arms, she molds herself right to your body and seems like an old companion you've had for years. She is an old soul, always trying to look out for and protect her siblings. She is also very smart, the first of her brothers and sisters to learn how to leap into the air after a toy. She hardly ever makes a sound, except to purr when you are giving her your undivided attention. Amelia's favorite toys are string and little toys with feathers or fur on them. She loves to cuddle with her sister Marbles, and they are often found playing with and washing each other. An adult home with no kids would best suit her quiet nature and make her feel safe. She is most often found on people's laps and prefers company to being alone.

Amelia and Marbles must be adopted together, as they are quite attached, always cuddling, playing and washing each other.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
