SPECIAL NEEDS
Lucille was rescued from a kill shelter when she was going to be put down. She is a special needs dog as she is a distemper survivor. The vet says that she and her litter mates were probably born with distemper and 2 of 4 have the lingering effects. Lucille is a fighter tho. She still runs and plays with the big dogs but if someone topples her over, she has a hard time righting herself. Ma Nature has taken over her muscle development, so she has huge chest and front leg muscles to help her keep her balance. She couldn't be sweeter and loving and deserves a home that has patience and accepts her handicap. She would love for you to adopt her brother Yogi too or have a doggy playmate for her. We pull dogs from shelters when their time is up or the shelter is so overcrowded that dogs will need to be put down to make room. We work with a number of local shelters and find wonderful homes for our precious rescues.
Dogs can be seen by appointment only as they are all in foster homes.
Our adoption fee is $275.00
Some home visits may be required before adoptions are approved.
We are a non profit 501(c)(3) based in Alvin, Santa Fe, and Hitchcock Texas. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and heartworm treated if needed. They are all in foster homes where they can be evaluated to see what home setting they are best suited to. All applications are screened carefully and great homes chosen.
