I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Daphne is a sweet white-and-buff parti Cocker Spaniel with an endearing underbite who we rescued from the Downey shelter in Los Angeles County. We arrived at the shelter to find a dog covered in some of the most horrible mats we’ve ever seen. Once we shaved and bathed her, we were stunned to see that she was emaciated and had probably been starving. She was brought in to the shelter as a stray, and we wouldn’t be surprised if she’d been living on the streets for quite a while.
Since arriving with us, Daphne has had a steady diet of high-quality food and is filling out nicely, growing more beautiful by the day. She’s sweet as can be and is quite appreciative of all the human attention, gently playing and snuggling up to her people. She is also a smart doggie, quickly learning to sit for treats!
We think Daphne is about two years old, and we just know that she is going to be the most loving of rescued pets.
