Windy - DEAF's Story...
*** COURTESY LISTING *** THIS PET IS IN A PRIVATE HOME. PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL THE PERSON LISTED. DO NOT CONTACT WARF AS WE HAVE NO FURTHER INFO.
Windy is a very special girl. Responsive, loving, adorable and comical! She happens to think the world is her stage and seems to delight in everyone new she meets! We haven't told Windy that she can't hear, it doesn't seem to matter to her or slow her down one bit! This girl is so polite; walks nicely on leash and takes treats with the gentlest mouth. Windy is very social, confident and seems to be well adjusted. Although under a year old, Windy is quite calm and accepting of new things. She does still have a puppy personality and will even play bow other dogs in her crate! And she really enjoys playing ball! She's getting to be a skilled ball player. And she already knows the hand signals for sit and down and gives her full attention to her handler for expert 'watch me's'. Windy is being trained using treats for positive re-enforcement and the thumbs up hand signal. She seems okay with other dogs (passed her behavior assessment for other dogs with proper introductions), with the right match, but NO kitties please. Windy would make a lovely family pet as she continues her training! A New Hope is currently fostering Windy and we'll continue to support her training including a vibrating collar so Windy will know when you want her attention! She is also spayed and microchipped.
If you can help us - by training, weekend fostering or adopting Windy, please call Lynn at 916 768 5981, or e-mail loomisgal@cs.com.
