Luna's Story...
Luna is an adorable fluffy black young kitty with a cute white chest! Her approx birthday is 3/4/12. She is very playful and friendly. Luna likes people and enjoys playtime with her toys and companions. She is a laid back and affectionate kitten. Luna loves kids and does very well with them. She is extremely tolerant and does not mind them poking and prodding! She does ok with one or two other cats in the home but is fairly independent, and would do fine as an only cat as well. We are unsure how she will do with dogs- it varies on a case by case basis. At her first foster home, she did perfectly well with the dog. In the second home, she absolutely hated the dog and actually had to be moved because it was so stressful for her (mind you, the dog did not pay any attention to her).

Luna would do ok as an only cat or possibly with one other cat as well. Her adoption fee is $100, and includes deworming, up to date vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing of each litter, and spay or neuter. If interested in giving Luna her forever home, please email Jackie at jakrivero@yahoo.com for an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Lafayette Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
