LOLA's Story...
"Lola" looks like a fox in dog's clothing with her prick ears, that usually stand up at full alert, her long narrow snout, golden eyes and intent gaze, and her thick, silky fur coat. Only her curled tail gives away that she is, indeed, a canine, and probably in the spitz family. Lola acts like a fox. She is a little huntress, taking great delight chasing squirrels up the tree in her foster mom's backyard and gets very excited watching birds land on the bird feeder but she is very gentle and respectful of the house cats and their territory. She loves to hide and burrow into the piles of pillows on the living room couch. Lola is a cuddler, waiting for you to sit down so she can sit and watch TV with you or will wait up for you to get into bed and then tunnel under the covers till she finds you. Lola is around a year old, weighs 14 pounds and is extremely playful with the other dogs her size, but is a bit intimidated by larger breeds. Her foster mom says Lola "is very well-behaved doesn't chew or potty in the house, although she will chew off her harness if it is left on for more than just the walk". Come and meet this little charmer at this Tuesday's Rice U Farmer's Market. CONTACT: TRUEBLUERESCUE@GMAIL.COM or 713-592-2299.

About Hearts Unleashed Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Hearts Unleashed Rescue is a volunteer-based no kill rescue organization founded in 2009 to serve as caretaker for abused, homeless, and abandoned pets and to provide medical care and rehabilitation for animals in our care. We endeavor to enrich their lives with love, socialization, and emotional healing. We are committed to match each rescued animal with a loving, permanent home, where they will live a life filled with love and dignity.

Most of our dogs live with foster families until adopted. We know their personalities, enabling us to make a good match between adopters and pets.

ALERT - We need your support to continue our rescue efforts!!! Our adoption fees do not cover medical, food, and boarding costs for the dogs in our program. A PayPal donation may be made to: .

In addition to the dogs listed here, we continue to feed neighborhood strays we are attempting to trap, and need dry and canned dog food donations for these endeavours. If you wish to make a donation of FOOD, please contact us by email so we may arrange a pick-up or drop-off location.

We and the dogs thank you for your support!!!
