I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Horace is a beautiful, sweet, loving, handsome, darling boy. He is great with other dogs. Cats - not the last time we checked. He is house and crate trained. However, he will chew inappropriately if left alone for even the shortest time - so crate or yard if unsupervised. He is special needs because he is on two anti-seizure medications. He was in a very stressfully overcrowded kennel situation and his reaction was to have a life-threatening seizure that nearly killed him. Since being on the medications for over a year, he has only had one mild seizure - again, when he was temporarily (unavoidably) kenneled in a crowded facility. He does GREAT in a home environment. Also, he was born with hip displaysia. It does not adversely affect him at all. He is as strong as an Ox. To help him be as well as possible though, our Vet recommended that he gets 500 mg Glucosamine twice a day. There is no adoption fee for Horace because of his special needs. The rescue is even willing to pay for his monthly meds (cost about $50 per month). If you are the angel to give Horace the home he needs, deserves, and has been waiting for his entire life, please contact Bev at 804-248-3042 or email@example.com.
Tramp's Rescue is an all volunteer organization. We are a small organization that rescues dogs from local animal shelters and other places.
We typically keep around thirty dogs at a time. We provide all necessary medical treatments including spaying or neutering, heartworm, and anything the veternarian recommends.
Once we rescue a dog, that dog will stay with us until he/she finds a good home.
We hold weekly adoption stands at different local stores such as Petco and Petsmart.
We are a non-profit organization dependent on donations to rescue these dogs. We can use any type of assistance you can provide, such as volunteer dog handlers, foster homes for dogs, or donations of food or money
