Chaka's Story...
Chaka is a cute and goofy guy. He has been a vagabond for so long, he has forgotten what it is like to be owned by a person! He fears the collar and leash, but if you have space for him, a fenced yard or a kennel, he is very good loose. He would not do well for someone who wants a walking companion in town, but maybe in the country. He hasn't chased the cats and he respected my older dog ~ she did not want to play. He doesn't like small children, but teens might be ok. He was ok with the 6 yr old, but not the 4 yr old. He is quiet unless something is there. I pretty nice dog who just needs time to learn to trust..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chaka, a Chewelah Blue Heeler/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler/Corgi for sale in Chewelah, or seeking a Blue Heeler/Corgi dog from a breeder in Chewelah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chewelah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chewelah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler/Corgi breeders who help with Blue Heeler/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chewelah paves the way for another one to be saved.
