Hi! I'm June Bug. I came from the Orange Cove animal shelter where I was placed when my first human had to take me because his landlord wouldn't let him keep me. I missed him a lot and was sad in the shelter. My new foster momma saw the sadness in my eyes and promised me she would get me out someday. That day came and now I'm staying with her until my forever home comes to adopt me.
I have foster sisters and a brother who I like to play with. I get most excited when my foster mom takes the leash out of the box. I love to take walks around the neighborhood. I see an occasional cat, but they don't interest me. I sleep on the couch next to my best friend, Pumba. Foster Momma tucks us in every night with our own blankets.
I'm a little scared of strangers at first. It takes a little time for me to warm up, but when I do, I will be your best loyal friend!
If you would like to meet a particular animal, please fill out our adoption application by clicking here http://bit.ly/1ikcRcZ.
Animal Compassion Team (ACT) is a non-profit animal welfare organization. All ACT animals are spayed & neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, if old enough heartworm tested, de-wormed, and microchipped prior to adoption.
All animals adopted from ACT are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped prior to adoption. Every pet adoption comes with a free health exam in the first two weeks, provided by Pet Medical Center, Fresno, http://petmedcenterfresno.com/
The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more then our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009 we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with the state of California and the Federal Government. It was, and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey and we hope to post MANY happy endings. New animals arrive daily......stay tuned .....we have only just begun!
