Yoda's Story...
Meet Yoda! This handsome beagle/basenji mix has been given a second chance at life and is looking for a forever home. Though we may not know his complete history, we do know that Yoda is a friendly, affectionate boy who will make a great companion. He is between one and two years old, weighs around 23lbs., and is everything you could ask for in man’s best friend. He loves people and other dogs, so he wouldn’t mind sharing his new home with a canine companion. Yoda is equally happy on a walk in the park or just lounging in the shade with his friends. And he loves to cuddle! This versatile boy would fit well in any family. He yearns for a yard to play in, a comfy couch to nap on, and most of all, lots of love.

Would you be willing to give Yoda the home of his dreams? If so, contact his consultant, Lisa, at 440-243-1245 or at for more information. Yoda is hanging out in a foster home, so she will set up a visit. One look at his sweet face and you’ll be hooked!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yoda, a Berea Beagle/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basenji for sale in Berea, or seeking a Beagle/Basenji dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basenji breeders who help with Beagle/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
