Pebbles's Story...
Pebbles is a beautiful, short and stocky, five-year-old, 55-pound, female Puggle/Pit Bull Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Pebbles was rescued during a raid on a so-called animal sanctuary in Mississippi. Sadly there were hundreds of dogs living on a farm with no food and water. Pebbles was lucky to have survived. She had broken her leg at one point and it set itself, so she walks with a slight limp on her right front paw. Her belly was full of rocks and twigs … what she tried to eat to survive. But, she recovered beautifully, loves to play and gets around just fine. Pebbles loves other dogs and cats, and people of all ages – including children. She is crate-trained and housebroken when kept on a regular schedule. She has an adorable smile and her tail is always happily wagging. Pebbles’ favorite treats are carrots, she loves to swim and play with tennis balls. She sits automatically for a treat and takes treats gently from your fingers.
She attaches to people quickly and bonds closely. Pebbles is now healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested and micro-chipped. She even had a full dental. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact Stana at recycled.pits@gmail.com or 312-320-0455.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pebbles, a Chicago Pit Bull Terrier/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Pug for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Pug dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Pug breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
