Cooper's Story...
MEET COOPER! A wonderful little boy rescued from an animal control facility south of FTW and is just about as sweet as they come.

He weighs 6 1/2 lbs - all love. One of the happiest chi's we've ever had the pleasure to meet.

Cooper is shy and submissive at first. He does not carry the feisty stubborn trait, he loves to just be near you. He will follow you everywhere. He like to play with other dogs but it takes him a little while to get adjusted to other pets. He does not bark very much if at all, he tolerates biting puppies, big dogs and other medium sized dogs. Cooper is more interested in being near you than being dominant, or playing with the other dogs. He is very well potty trained BUT YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE HE GOES OUT - HE DOES NOT SIGNAL THAT HE NEEDS TO GO OUTSIDE SO I TAKE HIM OUT OFTEN JUST IN CASE.
My other dogs will signal when they need to go outside if I have forgotten to let them out. Right now ooper likes Pro- Plan lamb and rice but I'm sure he will eat whatever you give him. He is very sweet and gives lots of kisses. He is hand shy though so you have to be slow at first with him when picking him up or even sometimes petting him. I'm afraid someone may have hit him previously.

--- Cooper's energy level is mild; He could very easily become a couch potato but does get into some rambunctious moods, just not very often.
--- Good with other dogs, size or age not a problem
--- Puppies he will avoid them-- but does not get aggressive but he will give them a warning bark when he's had enough
--- NO young children --he is pretty small and very tolerant but he is shy and I think young children may create more stress
--- Cooper loves to be outside

Cooper is resting up - waiting for YOU to call and see for yourself what a great addition to your family he would be.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, a Fort Worth Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
