My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Mikie, he is a big boy but so loving. Mikie has had a ruff start to his young life, he was an outside kitten and some how got his right rear leg injured, but he was just limping a bit, we did a TNR on the colony back in March of this year.

Acouple months later we got a call that Mikie was attacked probably by a dog and that same back leg was now mangled. Poor Mikie had to have that leg amputated.

But Mikie is doing well now and getting around pretty good, but he grew really fast so he is still learning to get around on 3 legs with his new big size.
Mikie also has a close friend her name is Smokepaw, she is just a kitten and very shy but she loves Mikie and Mikie has vowed to protect his little friend. We are hoping someone will adopt both together. You can see by the 4th picture how close these two really are.

Mikie is looking for a loving home with someone who can help him adjust to being a fully inside house cat. He still yurns to be outside but he can not get around safely enough. He is so sweet and loves to be petted and loved on, he will sit in your lap or next to you and he does give little love nibbles.

He loves belly rubs too! He is a little skiddish when being held as he thinks he is going to the vet again, but we are trying to show him that every time he is picked up doesn't mean off somewhere scary.

He is not aggressive and gets along with all our cats, he is such a good boy

Please come and visit Mikie and show him that he is a beautiful cat and you want him to join your family forever.

You can visit me 7 days a week at PetSmart in Bethlehem / Winder, Georgia. We are over in the cat section of the store, just look for me in my pretty hammack.

You can also call Altered Feral State if you want more information on me, just ask for

Jill (770) 876-0659

And of course all the nice people at PetSmart will be glad to help you adopt me here at the store. At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies.

All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Our adoption fee of $100. only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.
