MYA's Story...
Meet Mya. We think she is a Boston/American Staffordshire mix. Her only desire is to belong to someone. She is non-intrusive & non-demanding. She has a very gentle mouth, almost dainty when she takes a treat. Her greatest joy is just to lay where she can see a person. She just wants to belong. She was so sad when she was dumped at a shelter by her family who were moving and couldn't take her.

Mya is 4 years old, house trained, crate trained, rides well & shows no interest in cats or puppies. She is spayed, heart worm negative, UTD on all vaccines & micro-chipped. Mya is a big girl (58lbs) but she doesn't throw her weight around. She's gentle & will lay by your feet for hours but the minute you get up, she is right beside you. She will go out & check the fence line but has no desire to stay out all day. She would rather be with people.

Mya has a great fear of thunder and will try to hide or break out of a fence if she is alone. We think she would do best in a home where someone is there most of the time.

To know more about Mya, please call her foster mom, Gloria, at 706-541-2052. To adopt Mya, visit bostonrescueofsc.org and fill out an online application. Mya's adoption fee is $150

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MYA, a North Augusta Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in North Augusta, or seeking a Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in North Augusta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Augusta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Augusta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Augusta paves the way for another one to be saved.
