Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Prince William, named for his regal demeanor, was a stray found wandering near a freeway. Just in the nick of time, we rescued him from the high kill shelter where he ended up.. It’s hard to imagine why this delightful dog did not have someone moving heaven and earth to find him.
Prince William is a beautiful dachshund. Best of all, he has a personality to match. He is friendly with people although, as royalty dictates, he is a little reserved at first. He is polite and pleasant with every person e and every dog he meets . He is as sweet and dignified and gentle as he looks. Prince William is a true gentleman through and through and will impress you with his impeccable manners.
Prince William is an active boy and has begun going on daily two mile hikes with his foster mom and her pack of doxies. He is playing with the younger dogs in his home but goes about it ever so gently. No hooligan behavior from him!
William walks well on a leash and rides quietly in the car. He ioves to be held and cuddled. He is a very easy boy to have around.
William has a classic very long back so he needs a home with no stairs and he must not be allowed to jump on/off furniture to ensure his back stays pain free.
Prince William is neutered, micro chipped and current on his vaccinations. He has had a dental and was treated for an ear infection. He is currently a little underweight at 14.5 lbs and should be about 16 lbs
If you are interested in Prince William,, please fill out an adoption application at www.scdr.org and email Lindy at linla@comcast.net.
The tax deductible donation for William is $225.
