Mellie's Story...
Hi My name is Mellie! and I am two years old female silky yorkshire terrier weighing 10 pounds

I am told I am a complete mush and my foster moms says she doesn;t think she has met a more passive, sweet and cuddly pup. I love attention and I push your hand when you stop petting me.

I am perfectly happy to be right on your lap rather than anywhere else in the house, and I do this cute thing of just rolling over on my back submissively and to get it.

I have no aggression and great with dogs, cats and children

My foster mom says . Perfect in every way - right down to my sweet overbite

Housetrained

Spayed with all my updated shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mellie, a Long Beach Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
