:
Timber is ready for a new home. Little fella did not have the best start in life but with proper medical attention, great nutrition and loving this pup to wellness, he is now ready to make his way to his furever family. Timber is approx. 9-10 months old and 45-50 lbs.

Little fella had not the best start in life but with proper medical attention, great nutrition and loving this pup to wellness, he is now ready to make his way to his furever family. He's a smaller sized Shepherd/Malinois Mix and will likely be in the 60+lb. range. But he may surprise us when he's fully grown and matured,as we've had this happen before where dogs who'd been neglected were slow to grow but made up for it later on. Timber is being well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes and plays nicely and is crate trained and housebroken. He has learned some nice doggie manners and is a happy little fella.
He is very affectionate and has some nice ball drive as well. He's a playful pup and just enjoying life.

Timber was dumped at a high kill shelter that did not address the fact that he was not doing well, nor getting enough food as he was penned with other dogs,. He came into the rescue severely malnourished, with demodex mange and pneumonia. Wow, he had the odds stacked against him. But now that he's with IDGSR he's on the road to recovery. He's playing and loves his toys a lot. He is a sweet boy who is being socialized with other dogs and people.

If you would like to make Timber a member of your family, Timber is waiting to meet you, please apply with the rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
