Here's what the humans have to say about me:
http://www.valleydogs.org/zander-lab.html -- My name is Zander and I am looking for my new forever home! My mom was found wandering the desert with me and all my brothers and sisters still in her belly. My current adopters can no longer take care of me with their new home, other dogs and growing family. I am a 4.5 year old Greyhound / Lab mix mostly black and with white on my chest, paws and the tip of my tail. I am a very sweet dog with a lot of energy. I love to walk with my owners and running (oh you should see me run) with my owners is my absolute favorite! I love to run! I mind very well on a leash will walk or run right next to my owners as long as they want to go! I am also good at following directions. I am a bit shy overall, but once I warm up to you, watch out! I love to snuggle and lay my head on your lap. I have plenty of energy and am happiest during my walks/runs!
Oh, and also, Car rides are my favorite! I wait patiently for the fun in store wherever we are going! One time I went to play in the snow and boy was that fun! I loved chasing snowballs and jumping though chest deep snow! I also love the dog park, camping trips, the lake, the mountains, wherever you want to go! I am excited about the journey and all the fun we will have at the destination!
I am a bit nervous around new people at first, but once I know you, I feel much more comfortable and become excited about all the fun. I prefer women and warm up to women much faster than men. I weigh about 75 lbs and am in great shape. I prefer to be the only put in the house, but I do get along very well with other non-aggressive dogs. I absolutely love positive attention and am very gentle around children. If allowed, I love to lay on the couch and rest my head on my owner’s lap contemplating our next adventure!
