Cody's Story...

Hi, my name is Cody. I am 5 years old, but very calm for my age and very smart! My vet says I’m a very good boy. I’m waiting for my forever family to bring me home. I love being hugged and kissed, hanging out with my foster dad, playing with my foster brothers and getting treats. I didn’t know I loved kids so much, but hanging with my foster cousins was cool! I also like being inside with my foster family – outside is ok for the necessities of life, but oh how I love the indoors. What else can I say? You can see from my picture how happy and fun I am. Oh, I’m learning “down” and “stay” and can’t get enough of those braunschweiger treats! YUM!! Take me home with you, you will be so happy you did! Columbia ILL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a St. Louis Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
