Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Larry is a 7 1/2 year old happy go lucky dog that loves life. He is a typical Labrador and enjoys letting his ears and lips flop in the wind with the car window down, diving off the end of the dock into the lake, playing fetch, and getting lots of attention. He's an older gentleman but still very active and young at heart. He needs an active family with a fenced in yard (and would love access to water). He loves to be outside but is also good in a crate. Larry is a very fast learner and already knows sit, down, come, and to "high five". Larry loves balls and toys and always diligently carries one around. He can only have toys, however, that are NOT made of fabric or rope (he thinks these are yummy).
Larry is looking for a very special family that will understand his needs. Larry is affected by a condition known as Progressive Retinal Atrophy. He has limited vision currently but is extremely well adapted. He will likely go completely blind during his lifetime but will still have a great quality of life with the right family to look out for him. Because of this condition and because Larry doesn't always realize he's a big boy he would do best in a home with school age or older children. Larry is Leash Trained, Crate Trained, Basic Obedience.
Larry is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, and flea and tick preventative.
