Jessie's Story...
Well Howdy! I'm Jessie and I am just the sweetest little thing you ever did meet. My previous owner spent a lot of time with me in obedience classes, so I listen really well. I am a 4 year old Pit Bull mix. I know that sometimes we pit bulls get a bad rap, but the truth of the matter is that I am simply a young girl who wants to be loved. I love to play ball and my motto is "If you give me treats, I can learn it". So far I know how to jump through hoops, dance in circles, roll over, beg and wait. My previous owner says that I am very much a people pleaser but that I do not do well with cats. I would love to meet my new forever family so if you think that you are the right fit for me come visit me, Jessie, at the High Sierra Anim

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessie, a Portola Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portola, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portola.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portola already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portola breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portola paves the way for another one to be saved.
