Rocky's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Rocky's Story...
Oct 7: Transferred to Durango Humane Shelter for better visibility and adoption opportunities.

Sept 3: This big fun guy has had training for walking, sitting, etc. so we are surprised he was not claimed. He's only about 10 mo. old and still acts like a puppy. Great temperament and just a big fun guy. He will get his vet care soon, which includes neutering, shots, chipping. Adoption fee is $100 and application is required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Jemez Springs Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever for sale in Jemez Springs, or seeking a Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jemez Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jemez Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jemez Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Newfoundland/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jemez Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
