Brutus's Story...
Brutus the chinchilla would LOVE a home where he is the only chin! He does not like sharing any of his stuff, especially his bed. He is great with dogs and cats, but would be better off in a no-child home that is relatively low stress. When he came to us he had a habit of chewing the fur over his flanks, but after a few weeks in our care it has all grown back. Brutus is a smart boy, who is very trusting, around the right person…he just needs someone who understands how scary it can be to be a little man in a big world. His cage is his castle, and he rather not share any of his stuff. He loves to run around a chin-safe room, and plays with every single toy we buy him. Please consider sharing your life with this special boy, he is so deserving of a best friend!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Selden Chinchilla was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinchilla for sale in Selden, or seeking a Chinchilla from a breeder in Selden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Selden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Selden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinchilla breeders who help with Chinchilla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Selden paves the way for another one to be saved.
