Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Jake and I am a very nice, red, 3 to 4 year old cocker boy. I was picked up by animal control and taken to a NC shelter after neighbors called and told them that I had been left abandoned in a house, and my owners had moved out. I am a good boy, gentle and very sweet. I like attention and love, and I am ok on a leash, but I do tend to tug and pull just a little. I am currently in a foster home with a nice family and I am doing well considering everything I have been through, but they can't keep me long term, or adopt me. Due to my unknown past, they have been working with me on my separation anxiety issues, dealing with loud noises ( I bark at the vacuum) and meeting strangers, and I am now doing a little better with all of these issues, but I will still need your patience to help me adjust to a new home environment. I would love to find a home of my own and someone to love me for the sweet boy that I am. Maybe my new home is with you! I would love to meet you.
