My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Henry’s Foster Home is located in Jacksonville, Florida

Henry is a super, adorable, black and tan, male, German shepherd. Henry is 3 yrs. old, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick and heartworm preventative.

Henry was owner surrendered into rescue because his previous family fell on hard times and as a result could no longer provide Henry with the Vet care he needed. We are so grateful that his former family found our Rescue and we will now ensure Henry finds his forever, loving home and we will let Henry decide who will be lucky enough to adopt him.

When Henry initially arrived in Rescue he was very thin, and had suffered a major skin allergy. We took him to our Vet for treatment and Henry has made a full recovery. Henry’s one ear will not stand up due to past ear infections but we do feel he can still hear out of that ear. His new family will have to ensure that he does not suffer from any other infections if it is ear or skin related as it seems he maybe prone to having them. We are currently feeding a high quality food and Henry will need to stay on the same food or a food that is equal in dietary value/content.

Since Henry has been in foster care, his foster mom reports Henry is great with all other dogs, cats and kids. He loves car rides but can at times become extremely vocal when excited or a bit stressed in public. So he is very much a Shepherd Talker, Henry has lots of stories to tell and would love to share them with his new family. An application needs to be completed prior to a meet and greet. All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and or spayed, and microchipped.

Adoption fees range from $100 - $350 depending on age, degree of personalized training, and if proof of bloodlines can be provided.

Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior before final adoption.
